Welcome
Welcome to Monkeycalculator’s blog. In this blog I intend to write about various topics in mathematics, some pure math and some applied math, physics, computer science, and maybe occasionally something with a more artistic twist.
Part of my motivation for writing this blog is for my own learning. I am a novice and self-study most subjects I write about, and I will inevitably make more mistakes than other expository sources. Feel free to drop any corrections/suggestions/ideas in the comments section.
Previously, in 2019, I have written a blog, albeit with only a handful of posts, also under the alias Monkeycalculator on the topics of math and physics, Under the very unlikely event that you have seen my old blog, yes it is still me!
I don’t know if it will sound silly for being so obvious, or sound fake and unbelievable, but I’ll make the following claim: I promise that any text you see on this blog is written by myself, a human, and in particular not by AI, unless explicitly noted otherwise. 1 While I cannot deny that I do use AI, I try to ground my learning in existing literature, and most ideas on this blog will either come from existing literature or from myself.

In addition to text, this blog may contain images/figures. In a similar spirit, any image containing real or standalone content will be made by myself and not be AI generated. The only possible exceptions are figures used purely to help illustrate mathematical concepts described in the main text. Generating good math figures is tedious. Though I haven’t decided yet, I may start using AI at some point for this purpose. ↩︎
